The restoration of the administrative building in the village of Shevchenkove was supported by a charitable foundation

news-013 From March 7 to April 1, 2022, the Armed Forces of Ukraine fought against the Russian occupiers in the territory of the Velykydymer community. During the three weeks of occupation, the Russians killed more than a hundred local residents, destroyed 2,450 private houses and infrastructure facilities, schools, and kindergartens.
During the military operations in the Velykydymer community, the administrative building in the village of Shevchenkove was destroyed. Restoration began on April 10, 2024 and was completed in August of the same year. Specialists performed external and internal repair work.
Charitable Foundation "Partnership for a Strong Ukraine" (FPSU) Chemonics International, Inc. fully funded the project. This is a joint program in which the Government of Ukraine and nine partner states supported an initiative aimed at restoring communities affected by the occupation. No other sources of funding were involved, so no cases of duplication of funds were recorded.
The donor organization selected the project through a competitive procedure in accordance with its own policies. The Velykydymyr Village Council reported that no public discussions were organized. Donors preferred this project because it was necessary to restore the quality of administrative services to the community: after de-occupation, all the institution's specialists worked in two offices on the first floor.
To inform the population about the implementation of the project, information was posted on the official website of the Velykydymyr Village Council, its Facebook page, and the official page of the FPSU.
We will inform you later whether the building meets the requirements for barrier-free and energy efficiency.
