The Andriyivska Gymnasium of the Makarivska community had to be rebuilt after the Russian occupation.

The gymnasium was destroyed between February 24 and April 1, 2022.
"According to preliminary estimates, the settlement was destroyed by about 40%, 132 civilians were found shot by Russian executioners," said the head of the Makariv village council, Vadym Tokar, on April 8, 2022.
As a result of the fighting in the territory of the Makariv community, infrastructure, houses, enterprises, trade, medical, cultural institutions, etc. suffered significant damage.
General secondary education and preschool education institutions were also damaged: 25 facilities were partially and three were completely destroyed. Among them is the premises of the Andriyivska Gymnasium.
Restoring the gymnasium after deoccupation became urgent, as there was a need for educational services. The cost of reconstruction amounted to UAH 1,444,039. The funds were spent on replacing window and door blocks, installing external slopes, and other work.
The charitable organization "Rijk Zwaan Ukraine" LLC selected objects in deoccupied and frontline communities that needed restoration, so the gymnasium premises were renovated at the expense of this organization and the local budget.
The project has already been fully funded, there are no risks of duplication of funding sources.
A public opinion poll was not conducted. However, suggestions from the public have already been collected as part of the restoration. More than 300 respondents from different settlements of the community took part. Therefore, the object that was subject to monitoring will be returned for revision and has already been included in the Comprehensive Territorial Restoration Program.
With the participation of experts from the NGO "Agency for Territorial Development", UN-Habitat, IMPACT, Restart, working sessions were held to collect spatial data as part of the development of the Comprehensive Territorial Restoration Program of the Makariv Settlement Territorial Community.
The project approval process was open and transparent, the project was selected through a competitive selection procedure among others. The public has access to information about the project on Internet resources.
