Destruction caused by fighting: The Department of Education, Youth, Physical Culture and Sports of the Makariv Village Council was rebuilt after the Russian occupation

 From the end of February to the end of March 2022, the Makariv territorial community was in the zone of active military operations. The liberation of the territory by the Armed Forces of Ukraine took place on April 1, 2022.
As a result of the hostilities on the territory of the Makariv settlement territorial community, significant damage was caused to the infrastructure and housing stock. Most of the production enterprises, commercial establishments, houses, educational and cultural institutions, etc. were damaged or destroyed. We are talking about hundreds of buildings.
The premises of the administrative building of the Department of Education, Youth, Physical Culture and Sports of the Makariv settlement council were also destroyed during the military operations on the territory of the Makariv community. The restoration was carried out at the expense of the local budget. Priority was given due to the need to restore access to educational services. Other sources of funding were not involved, accordingly, no duplication of project funding was recorded.
The project was fully financed, the premises and roof of the education department were renovated. The cost was over 2 million hryvnias. The reconstruction began in 2022 and was completed in 2024.
The project approval process was open and transparent - the facility was selected through a competitive procedure among other projects. Public opinion was not assessed at the project preparation stage. Lists of objects that needed restoration were formed upon submission by local governments, in particular, by the Makariv Village Council on the basis of inspection reports.
However, within the framework of the Program for the Comprehensive Restoration of the Territory of the Makariv Village Territorial Community, in the development of which the “Agency for Territorial Development” also participated, a survey/collection of proposals from the public for the draft Program was conducted. 300 respondents participated.
In general, the public has access to information about the initiated project through social networks and the PROZORRO portal, where all purchases of goods, works and services were published.
